Autolux formed in 2000 in Los Angeles, California. Eugene Goreshter and Carla Azar met while writing the score for Accidental Death of an Anarchist. In August 2000, Autolux made their debut and released a self-produced EP entitled Demonstration. They signed with DMZ, a T-Bone Burnett and Coen Brothers venture.

Autolux is touring at the Annex in Madison, WI on their second full length record, Transit Transit.
